We are living in times of fast, profound change.
We are living in times of loneliness, separation, isolation.
We are facing unprecedented individual and collective challenges.
Western culture teaches us that coping with grief, transitions, challenges is an individual task - my traumas, my difficulties, my therapeutic journey.
Yet, since time immemorial, humans have healed and transformed, together, in collaboration with one another and with the natural world, in reverence for the cycles which are the basis of all life, in gratitude for the earth, the air, the fire, the water.
This is an opportunity to be together, recognizing that our collective grief lives and breathes in the same space as our shared joy. We will activate our essential relationship with the power of life that flows through our body, reawakening for each of us what it is to be human upon the earth in this time. We will witness and be witnessed by one another, and by the universe.
About Women´s Circle:
For decades our western culture has glorified independence taught us -- women especially -- not to be a burden figure it out on your own asking for help is a sign of weakness.
I come from that consciousness and if you do too, then you probably also understand that it’s just not working anymore.
This persistent message that needing support means that you have failed is literally killing us.
In truth, you were never meant to go it alone.
In truth, humans are literally wired for interdependence. You literally do not do ANYTHING alone.
You are always held by the lineage of your generations, by the education you received, by your experiences by the web of life, human and non-human collaborators who support each step you take.
Each breath is a collaboration with the sky. Every time you eat, you confirm your covenant with the earth.
Every word you speak is an expression of your alliance with the water in your vocal chords and the ones who taught you languages.
The concept of being independent is a feature of the design that isolates and separates.
Returning to an awareness of all of these collaborations, large and small, can give you an opportunity to rest to remember that you don’t have to do it all alone and that you are always held.
This is an invitation to all self-identifying women. Of all ages, places, and languages to sit together in a sacred circle.
For about two hours, we will chat, sing, and move the body to reawaken the remembering of our interrelated selves and feel the support that lives in the map of the cycle that lives in the womb and is reflected in the maps of the natural world.
Together we will explore:
• how remembering your place in the web of life helps regulate the nervous system
• the wisdom of resilience and renewal in natural cycles in our bodies
• simple practices to reconnect with the living world that holds and sustains you
• how this perspective can transform the way we relate to ourselves, each other, and the challenges of our time
There will also be space for reflection and shared conversation.
About Men´s Circle:
A men’s prayer.
From the origin of this species that we call human beings, men have gathered together to look into the eyes of the fire, to sing to the moon and the stars, to make offerings to the holy earth and to share the good company of one another.
Within each one of us hidden beneath layers of civilization, historical and present day oppression, religious and cultural ways of being, thinking and feeling lie the sleeping seeds of our original nature.
And so my brothers, from the still beating heart of life within me to the still beating heart of life within you I send, with honor and respect and more than a little curiosity this invitation to gather once again to take a few more steps on the path of this mysterious journey of being a man.
How will we present ourselves to each other in this time?
What will we remember of the seeds?
How will we narrate the stories within us to nourish those seeds?
Which songs will we sing?
What will happen if we encourage one other to share the best of us to offer to the earth?
I have been waiting patiently to be once again in your good company, to see your shining faces and to look into your eyes…
We will gather together for about two hours to build an altar
And explore these themes
Through conversation, ritual and song.
About Facilitators:
Naomi Katz is a ceremonialist, educator and movement facilitator.
Inspired by the indigenous practices of the women of the earth, she has traveled the world studying ancient wisdom. Robert is committed to the renovation of the sacred culture of the masculine for the honor of the seven generations who walked the earth before us, and those who are yet to be born.
Costs:
We are doing our best to offer programming that is accessible.
Our sliding scale is guided by the “Green Bottle” approach, inviting you to reflect on your current financial capacity—whether your resources feel abundant, balanced, or limited—and choose a contribution that is both honest for you and supportive of the wider community, helping keep these offerings accessible to all.
The sliding scale offers three ways to contribute: a community rate for those with limited financial resources, a supporters rate for those who can comfortably meet their needs, and a sustainers rate for those with greater financial abundance who wish to help sustain the space and make it accessible for others.
Take a look at our Green Bottle Comparison to help you identify yourself on the scale.
