N.E.S.T. collaborates with the Woodstock Center for Awakening, Friday, Aug. 14th, through Sunday, Aug. 16th

We welcome you to our fourth-annual Woodstock Festival of Awakening.

This year, N.E.S.T. founder Stefanie Frank is honored to be collaborating on the production of Sunday´s Medicine day at the Bearsville Center, bringing the essence of the N.E.S.T., creating a transformational sacred space with local alliances and medicine friends from around the world.

Welcome Krishna Das & company back to the Bearsville on Saturday to headline our Kirtan marathon; and welcome ceremonies, performances, talks, music, therapies, readings and more throughout Woodstock and beyond.

Grammy award nominated American vocalist Krishna Das is known for bringing devotional music or Kirtan to audiences worldwide.

On Saturday evening step across the lawn to the Bearsville Theater for a medicine-dance gathering with Tribe of Love.

Tribe of Love offers a sonic journey rooted in Earth, spirit, and the healing traditions of the Peruvian Amazon. Their music weaves medicine songs (icaros) with intention to open the heart and deepen our connection with the natural world.

Sunday’s Medicine Day gathering at the Bearsville Center introduces Awakening Art in the Grove.

Medicine Day at the Woodstock Festival of Awakening is a gathering devoted to wisdom, healing, sacred music, and awakening vision. The afternoon features spiritual leader and Colombian Kuraka Andrea Calderón Raincloud, Jon Lee Rucker and Spirit Revival, Gratefully Yours—a tribute to the medicine of the Grateful Dead—the eclectic sound-healing ensemble Dream Seed, and the cast of the Woodstock Community’s production of HAIR.

  • Dream Seed
    A sound healing ensemble hosted by members of Golden Drum. Shamanic chanting, mantras, overtone singing, Native American songs, indigenous music, didgeridoos, crystal singing bowls, bells, gongs, harmoniums, tuning forks and other overtone-emitting instruments create an environment conducive to deep relaxation and inward investigation. A one-of-a-kind eclectic sound healing ensemble rooted in 15 years of community living, world travel, deep indigenous music & powerful initiation.

  • Jon Lee Rucker — Spirit Revival
    Soul rebel Jon Lee Rucker is a singer-songwriter based in the Hudson Valley. His lyrics come from the collective heart with a one-of-a-kind Red Road Gospel sound that will surely move you. For this event he’s bringing his spiritual sounds to share in prayerful songs that will uplift the spirit of our awakening community.

  • Andrea Calderón — Raincloud
    Curandera, Mystic, and Guardian of Ancestral Medicines, Andrea Calderón will form a ceremonial space for our audience with her ancient healing songs. She will utilize sacred instruments such as the water drum, Staff & Rattle from her lineage.

    With more than 25 years on the path of ancestral medicine, Andrea Raincloud serves as a guardian of ancient altars and a vital guide in the recovery of ancient wisdom across the Americas and Europe.

  • Gratefully Yours
    Gratefully Yours is a Grateful Dead-inspired band, based out of New Paltz, NY. Founded in 2012 by keyboardist Alex Mazur (also founder of The Deadbeats). Their willingness and ability to improvise, and their openness to spontaneity and the energy of the moment, lie at the core of their performances. In the very best tradition of The Grateful Dead, it is this openness that allows the crowd to become part of the creative process. Members: Alex Mazur, Jude Defalco, Nate Calzetoni, Mike Manuele, Robert Schiff

  • Bob Vetter - Fire as Medicine: Ancient Healing for Modern Life

    Drawing on more than fifty years of studying traditional healing with Indigenous elders throughout North America and Mexico, cultural anthropologist and healer Bob Vetter will share stories, teachings, and a live demonstration of healing practices inspired by traditional fire ceremonies. Participants will experience simple yet powerful practices for releasing what no longer serves them, reconnecting with inner wisdom, and discovering why fire has remained one of humanity's oldest medicines.

Peter Blum is an internationally recognized sound healer, musician, interfaith minister, and award-winning hypnotherapist. A leading voice in the field of sound healing, he has presented at institutions including Omega Institute, Menla Retreat Center, and the United Nations. Peter is the author of two books exploring the healing power of sound and will offer a deeply restorative sonic journey along with Onetone.

OneTone Sonic Alchemy is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals in the understanding and application of sonic vibrational medicine. Our mission is to empower practitioners and communities with the knowledge, skills, and experience to use sound intentionally as a therapeutic modality—supporting healing, self-awareness, and human transformation through the principles of resonance, vibration, and conscious listening.

They are very happy and honored to be at the awakening festival.

The Red Feather Women Drummers are members of the Mid Hudson Valley Association of Native Americans. As keepers of their families and teachers of their history, they will present a talk about the significance of their drum and present some corrective history. They will also drum, sing and dance.

Hair is an american tribal love rock musical.

The cast of this local Woodstock production coming up in September will be opening and closing the Awakening Festival this year.

Paul Bloom has studied classical Qigong with Chinese masters, Tibetan Buddhists, and Professor Robert Thurman.

He works with people of all ages, levels of experience, and health.
