September Newsletters

Dear feathered friends,

As the season shifts and the leaves gracefully descend, I am once again reminded of the ever-changing yet constant nature of life and death.

It is a perfect time for reflection.

Recently, while watching an astrology report, it was suggested to look back to May, a significant month where a pivotal event may still be unfolding.

It was during that month, here at the NEST, that I laid my father's ashes to rest next to the gentle stream on this sacred Mt Guardian.

By my side stood my new senior rescue German Shepherd that came with the name Brooklyn.

My father loved German Shepherds.

On that day in May, the community, unaware of the profound moment unfolding, offered their support while receiving their own blessings in  ceremony by the stream.

So many patterns and connections unfolding.

Brooklyn has left this earth plane after making her mark on my heart and on this land.

The deep grief work done here at the Nest has been an empowering tool to assist me through the loss.

Now, as I prepare for my 4th and final year of Vision Quest at the end of September, a sense of completion looms.

I have dedicated myself to seeing this journey through, embracing the uncertainty that it entails.

My ongoing 60-day cannabis fast, a test of willpower unlike the previous years, now passed its halfway point.

In readiness for a spiritual odyssey, fasting emerges as a potent preparatory tool, particularly when relinquishing something cherished.

Support during Vision Quest takes many forms, from tending the sacred fire day and night to safeguarding the home and land, nurturing the family, and providing sustenance.

For those who are able to physically attend and lend their support at the Nest, please complete this form and approach with utmost reverence.

Those unable to join in person can contribute from afar by lighting a candle, offering positive intentions,  thinking of questers when drinking and eating sending energetic support or sending donations, be it food or financial.

Our leader Shiva Singh emphasizes that this endeavor is not recreational but "Serious Business."

Offerings of food and financial donations in check form can be sent to:
